High quality recycled materials are being used via the preferred
contractors on the 2012 OLYMPIC site in East London. Our recycled
construction aggregates are also being used on the M25 widening
works currently under way in Essex. Our Graded crushed ceramic
products have recently been welcomed as an eco friendly pipe bedding
by many local contractors as an alternative to using primary aggregates.
Recycled
in Orsett sponsor local youth marching band
Recycled in Orsett recently sponsored local youth marching band
THE HORNCHURCH
DRUM & TRUMPET CORPS for their performances at the MVT show
in Aveley. The band members played well known popular tunes to
the admiring audience at the show which also featured hundreds
of military vehicles and aircraft from the Second World War.
A spokesman for the band said, "We are very grateful to RIO for
this sponsorship, it is heartening to have a local company supporting
local charity work and more specifically local youth."
A RIO spokesman added "We are pleased to be able to offer our
support to this group who do such good work and produce happy,
responsible young people and talented musicians"
RIO
supports local country show - Sept 2009
This month RIO supported the Orsett Show and the local hospice
with a display of recycled aggregates and soils as well as their
range of primary aggregates and sands. The presentation encouraged
local businesses to use recycled aggregates in their building
projects and introduced them to RIO's wide range of groundwork
and building materials as well as their selection of premium and
economy soils.
Star
of the show was the RIO TRAXMAX, 100% recycled ceramic which is
being used as a direct replacement for primary shingle on pathways
flower beds and walkways.TRAXMAX is already in use at INNOVA Park
and other eco friendly sites around the south of England and has
been featured at Hampton Court as a 'greener' alternative to other
materials.
